Cardio....OMG

As I sit here contemplating how I'm going to take my first step when I next get up from my chair, my face adorns a HUGE smile.
Today, unlike any other I accomplished something I've never done, EVER. I ran for 40 mins on the treadmill, 2.5 miles and 10 laps. I couldn't believe it, as I drew ever closer to my goal, the seconds seemed to tick slower and slower. God when is the finish ever going to get here, hearts panting, feet and legs feel like they're just going to fall off. So as I sit here and feel the pain of anticipation of walking, I am struck w/ a bout of pride and a huge sense of accomplishment, something I've never done before I accomplished today, only to make myself run even further next time.
What a great day, what an amazing feeling

Workout Week # 1 Day # 3

So Friday was kind of a slack day in the way of a workout, I did some reps here, a couple sets here and alot of jogging. It's amazing how even if you go to the gym and have a semi decent workout how good it can make you feel. I felt 10 x better than I did before I went to the gym. All in all a workout, is like a nice greasy breakfast the night after a drinking binge, you may not really want it, but you know deep down that when you're finished you will definitely feel alot better.

On a side note, the 116lb rottweiler that is described in my profile. Is no longer 116 lbs, she is 136 lbs, she grew 20lbs in a year, it's amazing how when you live with someone/ something, it's apparent changes aren't so noticeable on a daily occurring view.

Working out Week # 1 Day 2

So apparently this book I'm reading isn't going to help. The workout (because I forgot to read it BEFORE I went to the gym) inlcuded biceps and triceps both of which I worked yesterday will be of no use to me today
So I made my own workout today, legs, back and of course another jaunt on the treadmill.
Hockey season (outdoor) is coming soon, we have a rink, 5 min walk from our house, last year I went out, but I was seriously out of shape and didn't enjoy it as much as I could've.
So this year, I've become determined not to be a lazy ass, and be out of breath panting after only 5 mins of hockey.
Today my work out consisted of
9 sets legs ( Squats , Leg Extensions & Lying Leg curl

Workout Week # 1 Day 1

So I'm reading a book called body sculpting bible for men. I made a workout for today and left my notebook at work so....I had to make my own workout,

I worked on arms, and abs today and again, did a 20 minute run on the treadmill.
I did 6 sets / muscle
- 6 sets biceps (Curls & Concentration Curls)
- 6 sets triceps (Dumbbell Triceps Extension & Cable Push Down)
- 6 sets abs ( Weighted V-UP & Weighted Incline Crunch )

I'll update again tomorrow.

Working out

...make a wish it's 11:11 am November 14, 2006.

Meaningful workouts, give one a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. You can immediately feel a difference, you walk different, shoulders back, back straight. Keeping motivated to go on a consistent basis is more of a workout, then spending 60 mins in the gym pumping weights.

So as I continue on my journey to self fitness, and muscle boundness I will keep everyone posted.

I will eventually give a before and after photos. Once I am happy w/ the way I look now.
